Love from Andrea ...

Thank you for visiting my new blog. I hope you enjoy my cards. I just love to make pretty things and if I'm not crafting or shopping for crafting supplies (it's a hobby in itself!) then I'm plotting and planning and thinking about what I want to make next!

Back to school - Survival Kits ...

I have made some  'survival kits' for a few special people who are back to school after the long summer holiday next week. All the embellishments are from The Ribbon Girl and the papers, tag and sweet little bear image are from Nitwit Collections (links at the bottom)

Challenges I'm entering:

Polkadoodles: Bling it up ...

There is a new challenge over at the Digi Choosday Challenge blog, 'anything goes' as always but the DT were challenged to add bling. Well, sparkle is my middle name so that wasn't difficult!

I used a lovely pre-coloured Winnie image from the Fruit Punch download kit, together with two patterned papers from the same kit (Polkadoodles) and I added glitter to the parcels, her flower and hat and some adhesive gemstones

Challenges I'm entering:

Polkadoodles: Flowers ...

There is a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge blog, anything goes as usual but the DT were challenged to create with a 'flowers' theme.

I used a pre-coloured Winnie image from Winnie Celebrations 1 (Big Bunch) and patterned papers from the Winnie Celebrations 3 download kit (Polkadoodles) The silver twine, polka dot button and butterfly dangle beads are all from The Ribbon Girl and I made my own flower embellishment using a paper punch

Polkadoodles: Not A Card ...

There is a new challenge over at the Digi Choosday challenge blog ... always 'anything goes' the DT were challenged to create a Christmas project that isn't a card.  I have made a lovely bauble to hang on my Christmas tree using a precoloured image from Polkadoodles Work and Play 5 Festive Hollybobs

I printed the image onto rice paper and decoupaged it onto the plastic bauble base. Then I added lots of dimensional snow paste around the rest of the bauble, glittered it all and sealed the image with a spray matt sealer.

Polkadoodles: Spooky Treats

How cute is this spooky card? I spent some time playing with the sweet Winnie Wednesday Halloween download collection from Polkadoodles to make this card.

Also, down there below the pictures I made a little video about this card - I was well out of my comfort zone and it's the first time I've done anything like this ... hopefully it worked!!

I used:

Image, papers and sentiment from Winnie Wednesday Halloween download collection

My first attempt at a video!

I'm entering this card into these challenges:

Polkadoodles: Christmas Colours

There is a new challenge this week over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog, it's always 'anything goes' but the DT were challenged to use Christmassy colours - and if I am given the opportunity to use Christmas colours then there is no way I'm not going all out Christmas!! We would love you to join us xx

I love the frosty blue/silver colours of the festive period and this little Winnie ice skating was just perfect for this card. Precoloured image, papers and sentiment tag are all from the Work & Play 5 Festive Hollybobs download kit and the diecut frame is the Bubbleicious die all available from Polkadoodles. I added a lot of Liquid Pearl dots and silver grey satin ribbon, both available from The Ribbon Girl
