Love from Andrea ...

Thank you for visiting my new blog. I hope you enjoy my cards. I just love to make pretty things and if I'm not crafting or shopping for crafting supplies (it's a hobby in itself!) then I'm plotting and planning and thinking about what I want to make next!

Polkadoodles: Hip Hip Hooray ...

There's a new challenge over at the Digi Choosday challenge blog today and the DT have challenged themselves with an 'animal' theme ... mine is a 'magical' animal! I've used papers and a sentiment  from the Winnie Celebrations 3 download kit and that fabulously magical unicorn image from Polkadoodles.

I added shimmer to the unicorn horn, star and crystal pins, shabby ruffle and organza ribbon, silver twine and star beads from The Ribbon Girl

Polkadoodles: Relax!

Here comes summer ... the DT at Polkadoodles Challenge blog have challenged themselves to make a summer themed card

I used the cutesy Winnie, wood grain paper and sentiment from the Winnie Starfish/Sandcastles download kit, added some button twine from the Ribbon Girl and a chunky wooden button. Winnie is all ready for her summer holiday!

Polkadoodles: Greetings of the Season

There's a new challenge over at the Digi Choosday challenge blog - anything goes but the DT were challenged to create a Christmas card - easy peasy because I just LOVE Christmas!! I've used the cutest little dress up reindeer image from the Winnie White Christmas download kit together with the pretty papers and sentiment from the same kit (Polkadoodles). I've added some shimmer to the little Rudolph nose because let's face it you can't have too much glitter at Christmas time right?

I've also used 'petrol' satin ribbondecorative pinslaceadhesive pearls and a wooden snowflake button from The Ribbon Girl

Polkadoodles: Tis the Season ...

There's a new challenge at the Polkadoodles challenge blog today. It's anything goes like usual but the DT have been challenged with a Christmas/Winter theme.

I've used the Winnie White Christmas download kit  - papers, sentiment (cut from a larger image) and the delightful Winnie - from Polkadoodles with some wintery/frosty paint and paper distressing

Polkadoodles: It's A Party ...

Over at the Digi Choosday challenge blog there is a new Anything Goes challenge and the DT challenged themselves to create a party card. I made this Happy Birthday wizarding card!

I used the fabulous wizard precoloured digi stamp from Polkadoodles plus brick wall paper (thought it looked a bit like Kings Cross Station) from the same Little Dudes bundle and striped paper from the Winnie White Christmas bundle.

The font used for the 'happy birthday' greeting was a download from DaFont and I found the platform 9 3/4 sign with a quick Google search.

I inked the edges of the papers to create the effect of being in the station and added some twine, polka dot button and star beads from The Ribbon Girl

I added some acrylic dots and added a bit of shimmer to his wand and his glasses with a Zig wink of stella pen
